God decided to bless me with enormous hair full of waves, curls, cowlicks, and unavoidable dead ends. Those of you with straight hair may be envious but you do not know what you are missing. Good hair days are not something I was born with. It is quite a job that requires a lot of product, skill, time and energy. All of which I don't have enough of as it is. To avoid this headache I created a hairstyle that not only tames my massive mop but can be done in minutes.
This is me everyday! This little bump of a do has become my trademark hairstyle. I have been doing it since I was 16. Very rarely will you see me with my hair down. This style has the illusion of tedious work held up by thousands of pins and clips but all it takes are seven.
Seven normal size bobby pins.
All I do is blow dry my head while its flipped upside down. That gives it most of its body.
Start by gathering the hair from your temples back. Comb through it with you fingers a couple times to get it straight.
Once it is all together give it a push forward. Grab 2 bobby pins and fasten the hair tightly by crossing them together on either side.
Take the remaining hair by your ears and pull it back with a bobby pin.
Do this for both sides.
Gather the hair in the back and twist it around your fingers a couple times.
Pull it up tight and secure it with two bobby pins by crossing them just like the first step.
Stick the last pin in for the baby hairs at the nape of your neck and you're done!!
