Pecan Pie


1 9 inch Pie shell

Baking time 45 minutes- 1 hour

  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1/3 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla 
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 heaping cup whole pecans
  • Melt butter and let cool 
  1. Whisk together corn syrups, brown sugar, salt and vanilla
  2. Lightly beat eggs and add to sugar mixture, stirring just until combined 
  3. While whisking, pour a slow stream of melted butter into your eggs and sugar mixture
  4. Continue to mix until smooth
  5. Pour 1 heaping cup of pecans into raw pie shell
  6. Cover pecans with filling mixture 
  7. Bake at 350* for 45 mins- 1 hour, slight jiggle
