Pecan Pie
1 9 inch Pie shell
Baking time 45 minutes- 1 hour
- 1 cup corn syrup
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 1/3 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 eggs
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 heaping cup whole pecans
- Melt butter and let cool
- Whisk together corn syrups, brown sugar, salt and vanilla
- Lightly beat eggs and add to sugar mixture, stirring just until combined
- While whisking, pour a slow stream of melted butter into your eggs and sugar mixture
- Continue to mix until smooth
- Pour 1 heaping cup of pecans into raw pie shell
- Cover pecans with filling mixture
- Bake at 350* for 45 mins- 1 hour, slight jiggle
