Chocolate Chip Banana Bread 




  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt (no sugar added)
  • 4 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups smashed bananas
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips or chopped nuts


Pre-heat oven to 400*

Baking time: 50 mins - 1 hour

Line one loaf pan with aluminum foil or parchment paper


1. Have all ingredients at room temp 

2. In a large mixing bowl, mix brown sugar and oil

3. Mash bananas with a fork on a separate plate then add to bowl along with yogurt and vanilla

4. Mix in eggs one at a time

5. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt 

6. Mix dry ingredients into wet 

7. Stir in mini chocolate chips

8. Pour into prepared loaf pan and sprinkle top with more chocolate chips

9. Bake until inserted knife comes out clean
