Happy Valentine's Day

Chocolate Heart
Brownie

I do believe that sweets are the way to someones heart. I also believe that if you are giving them as gifts they must be homemade.  Forget about a heart shaped box of chocolates and make this delicious chocolate heart brownie!
This recipe is from a large box, I found at an estate sale this past year, filled with vintage recipe books. The sale was just around the corner form my house. Various companies used to mail out recipe books to homes around the area.  These books are all addressed to Betty! They were meant to be featured in Peach Betty's baking videos! <3

The first book I chose to feature in this weeks video is Good Housekeeping's Book of Cookies, to gladden the hearts of cookie lovers. Originally only costing 39 cents, this 1958 recipe book offers every cookie you can imagine. Drop cookies, filled cookies, no-bakes, cookies that take a long time and some that take no time, bars, brownies, frostings and glazes, just to name a few.

Sullivan and I wanted something chocolaty and sweet so we picked Susan's Brownies.  After flipping through this book, I have yet to figure out who Susan is. Now that we have tried her brownies, we are very happy to see that this is not the only Susan recipe in the book.  The girl knows what she's doing.

I hope you will try this recipe for yourself.  There are many variations to this recipe in order to personalize them for your Valentine <3
