 Rice Krispie Treats




Foil and butter 9x9 baking tray

  • 9 cups toasted rice cereal
  • 2 stick of butter
  • 2 10 oz bags marshmallows 
  • 1 Tablespoon vanilla 
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt 

  1. In a large bowl, measure out toasted rice cereal
  2. In a large saucepan, melt butter
  3. Continue to boil and brown butter until foamy and little flecks appear
  4. Pour in bags of marshmallows and salt
  5. Stir continuously until completely smooth 
  6. Add vanilla and pour into cereal bowl
  7. Coat all the cereal in marshmallow goo
  8. Pour into prepared 9x9 baking pan 
  9. Press tightly into pan with spatula 
  10. Chill for 1 hour before cutting
