Healing the Heels

Its September which means back to school, yaaayy... hah it's not the worst but I definitely wasn't ready to say goodbye to summer. Anyway on my first day of school I wanted to wear my Marc Jacob's Ballet Mouse flats and apparently that was the wrong idea! Look at the picture below to see why :(

Yeah, so this happened. It feels as bad as it looks I swear. But it was a great excuse to pick up myself a new pair of shoes that didn't have a heel.

I found these in the kid's section and I really loved the clean white look. What I didn't love was the hot pink and green stripe. As they are they would look better on my 8 yr old sister than my 22 yr old self. Being crafty and not wanting to give up on fashion I came up with a solution. Check it out!

If you have acrylic paint i'd recommend using that instead of india ink.

They turned out so cute. Probably my new favorite shoes! The sole is now black and looks very classic and clean. I just painted a few coats of the ink and topped it off with the gloss so it protects it from the outside environment.

Here is a bonus photo with Ernie <33

Hope everyone is having a great end of summer, I am looking forward to fall. So many wonderful things are coming like apple cider, donuts, anything pumpkin, sweater weather, awh I just can't wait. This was just my take on taking a painful situation and having some fun. Until next time!

xoxo
